Anne is a fully qualified American Red Cross Instructor and a Registered General Nurse from St Thomas’s
Hospital, London with a Paediatric speciality from Westminster Children’s Hospital, London. These are
two of the most respected medical training establishments globally. After qualifying, she was a nurse
for many years. Anne is also a qualified Infant Massage Instructor from the International Association of
Infant Massage
Anne offers a full range of American Red Cross First Aid, AED and CPR courses. These may be full
certification, re-certification or non-certification courses. She offers specialist courses which cover
common childhood illnesses and draw upon her extensive paediatric knowledge to cover common ailments
encountered by infants and young children.
Participants in certification courses, who are able to demonstrate the necessary practical skills
and pass the written examination, receive American Red Cross certification. First Aid certification
is valid for 3 years and CPR certification is valid for 1 year. (Re-certification courses are available
from FirstAidTuition™) All successful participants will also receive a FirstAidTuition™ certificate.

The syllabus covers how to recognize an emergency, what to do to protect yourself and others, and how
to activate and use an "Emergency Action Plan". The First Aid section primarily covers emergency care
for severe bleeding, fractures, muscle injuries, burns, poisoning, heat exhaustion and cold related illnesses,
bites and stings. The CPR section covers the care for choking, breathing and cardiac emergencies whilst the
AED course covers how, and when, to safely use an AED.
