TCM Treatment and Services

Pain Management

In TCM, blockages in the vital energy (Chi) and stagnation of the blood are common causes of pain due to spinal and muscular degenerations as well as sports injuries. Treatment such as acupuncture improves the overall circulation in the body by regulating the flow of Chi and blood, and thus, helps to alleviate pain.

Cardiovascular Health

Poor diet, stress and a sedentary lifestyle increased a person's risk of getting hypertension, heart disease and stroke by obstructing the normal functioning of the internal organs (zang fu), and their respective energy channels (meridians). Chinese medicines and acupuncture serve to remove these blockages and balanced the Yin and Yang in the body so as to restore the body to a homeostasis state.

Eyes Care

Acupuncture and acupressure massage (tui na) balances the Chi and blood flow in the zang fu. Hence, TCM can prevent as well as improve the conditions of some common eye disorders such as children's myopia, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration etc.

Diabetes

Imbalances of Yin and Yang as well as blockage in the flow of Chi (zang fu) are the main causes of diabetes in TCM. By balancing the Yin and Yang in the body, and increasing the circulation of Chi diabetes can be controlled and prevent further complications.

Depression and Stress Management

Acupuncture and other TCM treatments regulate the Chi and balance the internal organs (zang fu) in the body, which in turn regulates one's physical, mental and emotional states.

Stroke Rehabilitation

Increase in flexibility and functioning of the limbs and body are feasible via acupuncture treatments. This is achieved by promoting the smooth flow of Chi, and thus, removing blockages in the body.

Insomnia

In TCM, irregularities in the internal organs (zang fu), and an imbalance in the Yin and Yang are common causes of insomnia. Chinese medicines and acupressure massage (tui na) helps to correct these imbalances.

Quit Smoking

Acupuncture and/or auricular acupuncture regulate the flow of Chi to reduce cravings for nicotine and calm the mind. In addition, Chinese medicines which increase the Yin of the body also help to restore the functions of the internal organs, especially that of the lungs.

Fertility

Fertility is governed by the kidneys (Shen) and Liver (Gan) in TCM. Common causes of infertility include deficiency of kidney essence (Shen Jing), Liver's Chi stagnation, and blockage of the meridians. Acupuncture and Chinese medicines increase the chances of conception by facilitating the flow of Chi and regulating the internal organs in the body.

Induced Labour

Acupuncture of specific acupoints on the body, is an alternative treatment to induce labour for overdue pregnancy in women.

Men's Health

Chinese medicines and other TCM modalities regulate the overall health of men, and hence can help to improve conditions such as prostatitis, erectile dysfunction and impotency.

Women's Health

Imbalances of Yin, coldness of the uterus (Bao Gong), stagnation of Chi and blood are common causes of uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, menstrual cramp/pain, irregular menstrual cycles (periods), menopause etc in women. Chinese medicines, acupuncture and moxibustion regulate the flow of blood and Chi, and also serve to warm the body (especially the uterus).
