Individual/Personal Group classes available;
The purpose of yoga is to support health, wellbeing, and healing – holistically. The practice of yoga should always be adapted to the individual by taking unique factors such as physical, mental and emotional state, past experiences, education, lifestyle, diet, and environment into account. Yoga is for everyone, men, women, children – regardless of background, age, creed, or fitness level.
Yoga therapy moves away from most commercial forms of yoga, taking us back to the authenticity of this ancient discipline, offering a highly personalized approach to yoga practice. Hence our classes are either private (one-on-one), semi-private (2 or 3 persons), or small group classes (5). This gives the teacher time and space to adapt the practice for each individual.
Yoga for pregnancy
A holistic preparation for pregnancy and birth, pre-natal yoga benefits mothers to-be through simple movements and breathing techniques. These small classes are carefully designed to respect the mother’s evolution through the 3 trimesters of pregnancy, with individual adjustments depending on which stage you are at. Physical and mental benefits allow women to face the demands of labour with greater confidence.
Pre-natal yoga for couples
With a focus on mental and physical preparation for childbirth, this class includes simple, safe movements, positions and breathing techniques for labour. It is designed for couples going through the last four months of pregnancy.
Post-natal yoga: mother and baby
This class is designed to restore, strengthen and energize new mothers. We work to retrieve the muscles of the abdomen, legs, and buttocks and to relieve tension in the neck and shoulders. Although this class focuses mainly on the mother, it also provides an opportunity to establish a bond with baby (up to crawling stage) in a safe and supportive environment.
Yoga for children (4 to 10 years)
Filled with fun and challenges, these classes will help increase attention, coordination, and concentration. A mostly physical practice including sequences and balancing postures, it promotes growth and builds strength and flexibility. We also use sounds, songs and story-telling to foster confidence through expression.

Yoga for beginners
This is a general class to introduce beginners to yoga. Through postures and breathing, we learn to understand the mechanics of body and breath, then gradually integrate both to create a state of clarity and attention in the mind, and prepare the body to sit still for a short period of time at the end of class.
Private (one-on-one) classes:
In ancient India, yoga instruction was conducted exclusively on a one-to-one basis. Today, it is still the ideal way to allow for individual needs, abilities or even schedules. Individual tuition can also be a powerful tool in the recovery from illness or injury (following doctor’s approval), and during pregnancy.
You will fill out a confidential questionnaire and have an initial consultation to highlight needs and goals. The teacher will then prepare a customized program for you.
Your personal practice is drawn on A4 paper with all relevant indications: how to breathe into and out of postures (āsana), which breathing technique to use (prānāyāma), points to focus on (bhāvana), visualisations, meditative practices (dhyāna), etc. We ask students to commit to at least 4 weekly sessions for continuity in establishing the program. The frequency of further sessions is for the student to decide.
