On Thursday 28th October 2010, Dr Kim Hayes our principal family doctor at Complete Healthcare International (CHI) gave a comprehensive talk on Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), at the Ministry Of Education.

Committed to medical excellence, promoting good health and reducing illness, Kim gave this talk on to ensure that Singaporeans have access to proper and affordable healthcare education.

On 2nd October 2010, with effect from 1st November 2010, Medisave300 will be extended to cover the vaccination against Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), which causes cervical cancer. Cervical cancer is the sixth most common cancer in Singaporean women. It can be effectively treated if it is detected early. The best protection against cervical cancer is to go for regular Pap smear once every two- three years. HPV vaccination is also suitable as a preventive measure.
