About Karen Wright
Karen Wright, a dietitian, with over 20 years experience in the profession, has worked in the National Health Service in the UK and for over 10 years in Singapore, in both private practice and public hospital sectors. Karen is from the UK and obtained her BSc Honors Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from The Robert Gordon’s University, Aberdeen. She is a registered Dietitian (RD) with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Regulatory body in the UK. Karen is a member of the British Dietetic Association, an Allied Health Member of the European Academy of Allergy and lmmunology (EAACI), a member of the Singapore Nutrition and Dietetic Association, a committee member of the AAA Singapore (Asthma Allergy Association) and is the Asian Representative to INDANA (International Network for Diet and Nutrition in Allergy).
Karen founded The Food Clinic in Singapore in 2006 and specialises in paediatric nutrition, particularly in the area of allergic disease and gastroenterology (irritable bowel syndrome, low fodmap diet, constipation, functional abdominal pain, inflammatory bowel disease and coeliac disease). Karen is also able to advise adults with food allergy. Karen has lived in Singapore for over 15 years with her family.
