It’s been a year since Emily was part of the Body with Soul outreach programme. For those of you who know Emily, her plight and have been following her progress…. She is 122kg today , so minus 11 kg in 1 year, She did very well !!

To celebrate this anniversary, I would like to help her to buy a motorized wheel chair, as she starts walking she would like to take Public transportation , travel with buses, MRT and do her grocery shopping alone.

She is now aware she could not depend on people to enhance her life, she needs to do it by her own, and so far she is doing very good.

But as it is, her weight is still taking a toll on her legs thus preventing her to go far distances.

So she thought about buying a motorized wheelchair, knowing she will only use it to gain distance and autonomy, which is great.

From my side I was very impressed by Paul Bell Gobi desert story, as I see him quite every day, I did follow his training program and injuries related, as well as his fund raising for Tabitha which has succeeded in an amazing way.

So Guess What???

A few months ago I discovered the Kinabalu Climbathon, one of the most incredible sky run, held on October 22th and I have decided to register!!! So in order to motivate myself hard enough to follow up this registration , I found that raising funds for Emily chair is a valuable scope to climb up to 4000 m in less than 3h30!

The Motorized wheelchairs range in price from $1,600 and up to $7,500. Emily, has $S330/month allowance from Singapore government and additional S$70 from the church she belongs to and lives in a one bedroom flat in Toa Payoh HDB.
