To all of you whom very generously donated towards my suffering in the Gobi March last year, I wanted to provide you with an update on how your donations have been put into use.

The aim, with the approval of Geraint and Ellen’s family was to raise enough funds to build a school in Cambodia in Ellen’s memory.

With the help of Ellen’s friend Kelly who also did some fund raising, together with your amazing donations I am really pleased to let you know that “WE DID IT”!!! Yes, we managed to raise enough to build a fully-furnished three class-room school with a three stall toilet block and the schools very own well.

The original school was very run down and in fear of collapse. Now there are 227 students from four villages attending a brand new school. It is in Keant Ta Siv village, in Svay Yea Commune, SvayChrum District in Svay Rieng province, about 3hrs from Phnom Penh. I have enclosed a few photos of the old and new school.

It goes without saying that without all your support during my race and with all the incredibly generous donations, this would not have been possible.

I would like to thank you all on behalf of the Tabitha Foundation, myself, my wife Clare, Geraint, Gwion and the Mainwaring family; its a very fitting tribute to a wonderful women.

Thank you again,

Paul Bell – BSc(Hon) Osteopath
